We are seeking a skilled NOC Administrator to join our dynamic team. The NOC Administrator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining customer network infrastructure. With an emphasis on monitoring and ensuring that all network issues are reported promptly. This will be done by leveraging Auvik and ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols, system administration, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure maximum uptime and performance of our customer’s networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network performance using Auvik and troubleshoot issues such as outages, latency, and failed connections.
  • Respond promptly to incidents logged in ServiceNow, escalate as necessary, and follow through to resolution.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, backups, and hardware diagnostics.
  • Monitor and upgrade network infrastructure, including routers and switches.
  • Document all processes, procedures, and configurations related to network and system administration.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to ensure smooth and reliable operation of systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Coordinate with customer to perform network device minor upgrades according to customer change management procedure via Auvik.

Required Skills:

At least three years of experience demonstrating proficiency in the following skills:

  • Proven experience working in a NOC environment or similar role.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Netflow, Syslog, etc.).
  • Familiarity with routing and switching technologies (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
  • Prefer experience with Auvik and ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with networking best practices, monitoring and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Aruba/wireless, Cisco ICE, MFA OKTA, ExtraHop, and other network tools.
  • Experience with configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  • Proficiency in using SIEM tools (Elastic, Splunk, etc.)
  • Skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to write scripts for automating tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
