We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Coordinator – Level III – 1st Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Drive data-informed planning decisions: Analyze supply and demand trends over a 12-month horizon to identify risks, opportunities, and areas requiring proactive action.
Optimize inventory performance: Perform quality checks on planning parameters and support Plan for Every Part (PFEP) initiatives to maintain healthy inventory levels and improve material availability.
Enhance operational efficiency: Run simulations on planning parameter changes, evaluate impacts on key performance indicators, and provide meaningful recommendations to support business objectives.
Maintain supply chain alignment: Monitor demand and inventory signals, identify abnormalities, and implement approved forecast and planning adjustments to support customer needs.
Take ownership of supply plans: Ensure demand, supply, and inventory plans are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business requirements and customer expectations.
Champion safety and compliance: Follow HSE standards, participate in safety training, and promote a culture of accountability by reporting hazards, incidents, and risks.
Support continuous improvement: Contribute to quality, process, material flow, and operational improvement projects that drive measurable business results.
Strengthen collaboration across teams: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, support data gathering and analysis efforts, and work cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and improve planning outcomes.
Drive strategic supply chain performance: Use materials planning systems, PFEP principles, and inventory optimization strategies to ensure the right materials are available at the right time, quantity, and location.
Make informed decisions in complex environments: Analyze large volumes of data, identify root causes, and resolve supply and demand challenges through sound judgment and critical thinking.
Deliver measurable business results: Consistently achieve operational, inventory, and service-level goals while balancing competing priorities and customer requirements.
Optimize processes and improve efficiency: Leverage planning tools, KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and strengthen supply chain performance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control. 5-7 years of relevant work experience preferred.
Position Summary
The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining inventory accuracy across the Charleston Turbo Plant through effective inventory management, transaction processing, and physical inventory controls. This role performs Oracle inventory transactions, investigates inventory discrepancies, and conducts plant-floor audits to identify root causes and process gaps. The Inventory Control Technician partners with Operations, Materials, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to drive inventory accuracy improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to dig into the data and processes to identify and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
Perform inventory transactions and inventory management activities within Oracle to ensure accurate system records.
Investigate inventory discrepancies through data analysis and plant-floor audits, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on inventory accuracy, process compliance, and material control.
