DESCRIPTION

Supports Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; ensures maintenance of documentation and records. Works under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance: By comparing physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications, you'll help identify defects and ensure high-quality standards.

• Testing and Validation: Conducting simple tests on electrical function, reliability, and packaging quality will ensure products meet required specifications and performance criteria.

• Data Recording and Reporting: Recording results and preparing simple technical reports will provide valuable insights and documentation for continuous improvement.

• Technical Expertise: Providing product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment will ensure accurate and reliable results.

• Advanced Programming and Training: Offering advanced programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment will enhance the team's capabilities and efficiency.

• Customer Support: Assisting customers in understanding and interpreting product specifications and measurement data will improve customer satisfaction and product application.

• Measurement Uncertainty Studies: Participating in measurement uncertainty studies will contribute to the accuracy and reliability of measurement and calibration results.

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of measurement and test equipment will maintain the integrity and functionality of the tools used.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Interface with Engineers and Technicians to determine root cause of failures

Own PPM and Yield for assigned components/areas for the shift

Perform Material Review, gaging, identification of parts, and perform disposition

Participate in cross-functional teams to support corrective actions.

Be a champion of the Fall-out Review Process

Perform Failsafe verifications and audits

Quality Inspections for assigned lines/cells per QE direction

Issue MNC’s and PNC’s as appropriate to the responsible parties

Provide data for reports and reviews as needed

Other duties per Manager's direction

Proficiency in MS Office

Database management (Quality Management System examples: DMS, CQMS, LPA)

ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Working Knowledge

Quality Champion Program Graduates (preferred, not required)

Turbocharger product knowledge; (Preferred)

Turbocharger Salvage / Assembly process knowledge; (Preferred)

Experience in Remanufacturing / ReCon is a plus.

Material Science / Metallurgy knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk continuously over a 12-hour shift.

Must be able to walk from operations area to designated fire exits, meetings areas, etc up to 1280 feet.

Must push/pull wheeled carts requiring up to 85lb for

Occasionally team-lift parts over 50 lbs. Frequent walking, pushing, kneeling, stooping, bending, & squatting. May be required to operate PIVs on a limited basis.

Ability & willingness to be flexible with job responsibilities (support new/other areas of the business), working hours, or shifts (flex between 1st & 3rd shift) to support meeting customer needs, team goals & business needs.
