DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented CTP/CRP Technical Training Coordinator to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Expertise Utilization : Apply your comprehensive knowledge to perform skilled activities that support manufacturing business needs, ensuring the use of appropriate resources, tools, and equipment.

  • Safety Leadership : Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental practices by reporting hazards, using personal protective equipment, and promoting a culture of safety and interdependence.

  • Quality Assurance : Maintain high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, support equipment failure analysis, and ensure all process documents and quality procedures are up to date.

  • Maintenance Excellence : Perform and document preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Problem Solving : Work with peers and support staff to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and improve processes, actively implementing solutions.

  • Team Coordination : Act as a formal resource, leading and coordinating team members with less capability, and participating in local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams.

  • Adaptability : Quickly and effectively adapt to changes in the manufacturing environment, ensuring continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

  • Environmental Stewardship : Recognize the environmental impact of your work and strive to minimize negative effects, engaging in HSE training and promoting sustainable practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacturing Expertise : Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications, implementing changes to meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information

  • Strong process and technical understanding of our equipment, products, and processes

  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint)

  • Prior experience with Instruction Design / Educational Technology learning concepts or Training roles preferred.

  • Working Knowledge of CLC content

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Course Content: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create and update technical training materials for the CTP/CRP ME function.

  • Manage Apprenticeship Program: Coordinate and monitor the program, ensuring compliance and building relationships with local educational institutions to foster a talent pipeline.

  • Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Assess and update the program based on equipment changes, downtime trends, and apprentice on-the-job training (OJT) requirements.

  • Enhance Workforce Skills: Aim to improve the skills of the technical workforce and support continuous improvement.

  • Ensure Alignment: Ensure all activities align with organizational standards and business needs.

Develop technical training programs

  • Develop and implement technical training programs tailored to organizational needs and employee development.

  • Create and develop course materials in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure comprehensive training for CTP and CRP technical functions.

  • Develop the technical training center to facilitate classroom and hands on training.

Coordinate Training Logistics

  • Organize and co-ordinate the delivery of training sessions with internal SME’s and external trainers while providing employee manager visibility and ensuring operational support while maximizing attendance.

  • Co-ordinate and focus training based on the skills matrix, single points of failure and areas of weakness.

  • Forecast training demand and develop plans to address business needs and performance gaps.
