We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team specializing in supply chain for our Cummins Turbo Plant in Ladson, South Carolina.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Applies developing business process and project management skills within an area of business or technical specialty under the supervision of a project manager.

  • Develops skills to manage small portions of well-defined projects.

  • Provides administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.

  • Serves as a support resource on projects and work assignments, developing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.

  • Assists in identifying, tracking, and working with others to resolve project issues while developing skills to do this independently.

  • Helps to monitor and communicate project status to project team while developing skills to do this independently.

  • Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides administrative support for the design and development of project plans and timelines.

  • Assists with managing project risk; developing how to use quality tools to identify areas of risk.

  • Supports documenting and sharing team learnings with other teams; uses lessons learned from other sources to enhance the success of the project.

  • Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • College or equivalent degree preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

  • Attend and participate in weekly Core Team meetings for multiple VPI projects.

  • Develop, implement, and execute Planning and Logistics plans.

  • Prepare and conduct Functional reviews at each project M-gate.

  • Coordinate with Purchasing for pipeline fill of new components.

  • Identify and manage supply chain risks to reduce need of premium freight.

  • Monitor stock of production components to support VPI builds and raise any issues with Planning.

  • Work with 3PL and Materials to ensure on-time lineside availability of components for VPI builds.

  • Monitor supply chain capacity to meet demand for launch and ramp-up, and communicate any gaps.

  • Manage handoffs to Plant Materials and Global Planning teams to reduce and eliminate scrap, excess, and overage of outgoing components.

  • Prepare and send weekly/ monthly reports to stakeholders.

  • Supporting active VPCs as needed.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
