Job Summary

The HVAC Lead Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient service and exceptional customer satisfaction. The HVAC Lead Service Technician also plays a key role in troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Team Leadership:
  • Manage schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
  • Provide effective solutions and repair strategies.
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
• Customer Service:
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure the team follows proper safety procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and local codes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and parts used.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on work completed.
• Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in HVAC service, with leadership experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications: EPA certification required.
  • Valid driving license and good driving record.
• Skills:
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable working in various environments.
• Work Environment:
  • The role involves working in commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Availability for on-call work and emergency repairs as needed.
