Cristo Rey Charleston High School seeks a strategic, hands-on leader to serve as its Founding Vice President of Finance & Operations. A key member of the President’s leadership team, this role works closely with the Board of Directors to build and manage the financial and operational infrastructure of a new, mission-driven high school. Reporting to the President, the Vice President is responsible for financial stewardship, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. This leader will develop and oversee budgets, ensure strong internal controls, and manage core business functions to support a safe, efficient, and high-performing school environment.Key Responsibilities include: Financial Strategy & Leadership (financial strategy, modeling/forecasting, budgets, reporting, GAAP/audits/tax/regulatory compliance, internal controls and risk); Accounting & Finance (GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash management, benefits; financial statements; audits; banking/insurance/vendor relationships; support CWSP billing and collections); Student Financial Services (tuition billing, collections, financial aid); Operations Oversight (HR; facilities; transportation; security; dining services; IT/E-Rate); Risk Management & Governance (insurance and contracts; legal/regulatory compliance; serve as Corporate Treasurer).Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or CPA preferred. Strong leadership in accounting, finance, and operations; minimum ten years of senior management experience (preferably in education or mission-driven organizations); strong analytical/strategic skills; adept at leading change; exceptional communication; commitment to ethical leadership and Cristo Rey’s mission. Successful candidates will be required to pass a background check.Compensation: Full-time, year-round with comprehensive benefits.
