And the city of Charleston – world-renowned for its history, architecture, culture, and coastal environment – serves as a living and learning laboratory for experiences in business, science, technology, teaching, the humanities, languages, and the arts. The responsibilities of an Assistant Professor include 1) providing high-quality instruction in three course sections per semester within the Public Health Program, two of which will cover sections of PBHL 257: Principals of Human Nutrition, 2) maintaining an independent research agenda at the level of expectation for a tenure-track faculty member, 3) offering academic advising and professional mentoring for public health majors, 4) engaging in professional service activities, 5) working collaboratively within the program and department to help meet stated goals and objectives, and 6) committing to a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate education.
