This is a nine-month professor of practice position that serves on a renewable contract.

Duties Include

  • Serving the larger academic community by participating in professional associations at the local, state, regional, and national or international levels
Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must have:

  • An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or EdD) in education or a closely related field
  • Extensive experience chairing or serving on dissertation committees
  • Three years of demonstrated teaching excellence in doctoral programs
  • The ability to effectively design, develop, and deliver online instruction asynchronously
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation, communication, and collaboration skills, especially as it pertains to teaching and advising working professional adult learners
  • A commitment and ability to effectively engage, collaborate with, and lead colleagues, students, and teams from all backgrounds and perspectives within and outside of the College
  • A high level of responsiveness and the ability to provide actionable, substantive, and timely feedback in 4- and 8-week online express courses
  • Experience teaching in or advising students from programs with a CPED philosophy (with an emphasis on improvement science principles)

This is an on-campus position. The selected candidate is expected to maintain a regular presence in the department and across the institution.

Please submit a CV demonstrating your qualifications related to the criteria listed above. Include a cover letter detailing evidence of your instructional philosophy related to teaching adult learners in an online environment and your specific experience coaching and advising doctoral candidates through the dissertation experience.
