The School of Education at the College of Charleston is seeking applicants for an experienced professor of practice position, with the expectation of teaching summer courses for additional pay, beginning January 2027. The Department of Teacher Education has recently launched a Doctor of Education (EdD) program in learning and inquiry in practice. This faculty member will be expected to contribute significantly to the success of the new EdD program by primarily supporting doctoral students and faculty during the dissertation process. This is a nine-month professor of practice position that serves on a renewable contract.

This is an on-campus position. The selected candidate is expected to maintain a regular presence in the department and across the institution.

Include a cover letter detailing evidence of your instructional philosophy related to teaching adult learners in an online environment and your specific experience coaching and advising doctoral candidates through the dissertation experience.
