| Job Purpose | Manages the Federal Pell Grants, Federal Iraq & Afghanistan Grants, Federal TEACH Grants, Federal Work Study and the Return of Title IV Aid Programs. This position assists with all aspects of client services, including office visits, telephones, emails, web site, and front desk general information dissemination and counseling students/parents on how to pay for college. Adheres to FERPA privacy regulations regarding student information and records. |
| Minimum Requirements | Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2-3 years experience in financial aid or higher education administration. Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge working with Banner Student System or related experience. Equivalencies may be considered. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Excellent math and analytical skills along with a solid understanding of Title IV regulations. Possess excellent written and verbal, communication and customer service skills. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload. |
| Additional Comments Regarding Position | The Financial Aid office is a well-organized, collegial, high volume area dedicated to providing access to higher education for students in need of financial assistance to attend college while maintaining the integrity of state, federal, and institutional programs. Occasional overnight travel, infrequent weekend & evening presentations, and overtime are required during peak processing times. |

| Activity | 1. Manages the" Return of Title IV Aid" ( R2T4 ) requirement including: identifying students that have officially and unofficially withdrawn from classes, determining when they withdrew, calculating the percentage of the term they have earned, calculating the percentage of Title IV aid being returned by the institution and by the student. Coordinate the communication between the Office of the Registrar, Office of Undergraduate Academic Services, Treasurer’s Office and students to assure efficient and expeditious processing of the return of funds for federal compliance and timely customer service. |
