| Position Description | The Department of Hispanic Studies at the College of Charleston invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin August 16th, 2026. We seek a dynamic and dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated excellence in teaching Spanish. Candidates with a specialization in Spanish Sociolinguistics or Spanish for the Health Professions preferred. The position is benefits-eligible, and the salary is competitive. Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in the discipline and near native proficiency in Spanish and English. Questions concerning the position should be addressed to the department chair, Dr. Susan Divine. The deadline for submitting applications is January 12. |
