Job Purpose | The Assistant Sports Performance Coach will assist the Director and other Sports Performance staff in training all College of Charleston athletes and teams compete for championships. Primarily this Coach will do this by designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs that maximizes their ability to perform, while reducing likelihood of injuries where possible. |
Minimum Requirements | - Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, or Physiology or related field. - National Certification: USAW, CSCS (NSCA), or SCCC (CSCCa) - First Aid/CPR certified - At least 1 year experience working with D1 student athletes - Master Degree preferred - Prior experience working with Women’s Basketball or Women’s Soccer strongly preferred Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff, faculty and parents. Must have excellent communication skills. |
Additional Comments Regarding Position | Weekend and evening hours are required. Overnight travel may be required. |
