Job Purpose
Associate Director, Annual Giving, School and Units acts a liaison between school and units and the annual giving office. Coordinate and participate in regular meetings with the schools and units and their gift officers, develop with support from the sr. director of annual giving and executive director of planned, major and leadership gifts strategic recommendations for the schools, units and affinity groups throughout the fiscal year including planned solicitations strategies and one-off, time-sensitive projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in fundraising. Working experience in higher education preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have knowledge of annual giving best practices and be comfortable presenting that information to groups whose background is not fundraising. Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Willingness and ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Computer literacy with Word and Excel, familiarity with constituent databases, experience with Raiser’s Edge software a plus.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Will be required to work occasional nights and weekends to support annual giving, institutional advancement, and school and unit events
