Lead Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by overseeing loading and unloading activities, training new team members, and ensuring inventory accuracy and safety compliance. This hands-on leadership role is critical in maintaining productivity, organization, and adherence to company and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring target times for loading and unloading are met to support operational goals.
  • Train and mentor new warehouse operatives within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Verify stock movements and ensure accurate inventory recording.
  • Support inventory cycle counts and identify discrepancies as needed.
  • Operate yard truck and maintain it through daily inspections and cleanliness; promptly report issues to management.
  • Monitor supply levels and report any replenishment needs to management.
  • Identify potential improvements in processes, systems, and efficiency; recommend solutions to leadership.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to all safety procedures; immediately report any incidents or hazards.
  • Ensure proper lifting and maneuvering techniques are used at all times to reduce risk of injury.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure all team members comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience required; prior leadership or lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate yard trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and handling procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Work Environment:
  • Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
  • Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.

Work Schedule:
  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
