Position Summary
The Department of Clinical Counseling at Charleston Southern University invites applications for a temporary part-time Adjunct Professor position beginning Fall 2026 and continuing through Spring 2027. The successful applicant will teach graduate-level counseling courses within the Master of Science in Clinical Counseling program.

This adjunct faculty position will support the Department of Clinical Counseling by teaching courses to master’s-level counseling students in both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Courses may be delivered in seated, hybrid, or online formats depending on departmental needs.
The Department seeks applicants who are committed to academic excellence, student mentorship, professional counseling identity, and the integration of ethical and evidence-based clinical practice.

Work Performed
• Teach assigned graduate counseling courses within the MSCC program
• Maintain regular communication with students and program faculty
• Provide timely grading and meaningful feedback to students
• Utilize the university’s learning management system and instructional technology
• Support the mission and values of Charleston Southern University
• Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with the counseling profession

Qualifications
Preferred applicants will possess:
• Current licensure as a professional counselor
• Experience teaching graduate-level counseling courses
• Clinical counseling experience
• Familiarity with CACREP standards and counselor preparation
