Summary
Charleston Southern University’s Art Program is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to start in the Fall Semester of 2026. We're seeking candidates who are professing Christians, dedicated to high-quality teaching, and committed to integrating faith with learning. Preferred applicants will possess both the knowledge, skills, and passion to teach studio art courses in Drawing and/or Painting.
Work Performed
The Adjunct Instructor will teach undergraduate, in-person classes in Painting or Drawing. All studio courses meet for 2 hours, 50 minutes twice per week. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course need and availability.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting, Drawing, or closely related field is preferred; however, a record of a successful professional art career will be considered.
- Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate commitment to student engagement and academic and artistic excellence.
