Off-Campus Work-Study Experience

· The Career Center hires Federal Work-Study students to work at a various local schools and community service partners
· All majors are encouraged to apply – excellent experience for your résumé
· Students placed in schools have the opportunity to tutor general subjects and serve as classroom assistants for kindergarten to 8th grade students
· There are other community service positions which are not education-related
· Hourly rate for this position is $10 to offset transportation costs, 7 hours per week per semester to earn typical FWS award

Requirements

· Must possess a high level of integrity, customer service skills, and leadership ability

· Candidates must have reliable and consistent transportation

· Tutor and school positions require schedule availability during school hours

· Competence in MS Suite applications
