Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the physical properties of the Charleston Regional Aviation Authority (CRAA). This position reports to the Director of Properties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as liaison between Authority and airport tenants (airlines, concessionaires, etc.) for assorted tenant matters.
  • Maintains the Lease Management System database including monitoring, record-keeping, notification, and updating of required data pertaining to leases, operating agreements, permits, insurance, etc. Works in the Diversity software system, maintaining records, utilizing capability to send updates to businesses, and providing general support.
  • Provide department support for tenant lease/contract compliance through inspection monitoring, notice, and enforcement activities. Assist with administration of service contracts that fall under the functional responsibility of the Department (e.g., landscape, solid waste removal, environmental compliance, luggage carts, etc.)
  • Monitor concessionaire and tenant performance related to such areas as price setting and controls, merchandising, quality of services provided, the contractor’s ability to meet demands for service, safety, and overall maintenance and operation of the concession or leased premises. Conducts site visits of concessionaire and tenant premises and meets with on-site concessionaire and tenant managers. Analyzes requests for concessionaire and tenant changes in product/service pricing, premises, hours of operation, and scope of contract services
  • Reviews, investigates, and respond to complaints concerning tenants, concessionaires, or service operations. Monitor compliance with corrective-action directives and follow-up as needed.
  • Support department manager with activities associated with the development, implementation, and support of the Airport’s Business Development Plan. Assist with documentation and coordination of third-party development activities on Airport property including build-out or modification of existing tenant spaces in the terminal.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Real Estate preferred.
  • Requires the level of formal education typically acquired by completion of post high school vocational course work or technical training leading to a certificate or Associates Degree. Requires mildly extensive vocational experience. Involves knowledge and comprehension of techniques, information, methods, procedures, which are related to specific jobs, and which can be acquired from some combination of college or vocational training, apprentice training, on the job training, or essential experience in lower-level jobs.

Specific License or Certification Required:

  • Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

$26.30 per hour
