Sr. Financial Analyst
Charleston International Airport
The Senior Financial Analyst will coordinate and participate in the design, testing, implementation, and review of complex manual and automated financial and accounting systems and processes.
Assist with the financial planning and budgeting process, analyze financial statements and reports, develop financial models, prepare projections, and perform research analysis as required by leadership. In addition, this position would become knowledgeable about the nature and characteristics of operating revenues, operating expenses and required allocations of these items. This position would also cross train on different duties within the Finance department and review operational efficiencies.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements to include Statement of Net Position, Statement of Net Revenues and Statement of Cash Flows quarterly.
Prepare monthly budget to actual financial statements, research major variances and be knowledgeable of current financial trends.
Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and company performance.
Coordinate the preparation of operating and capital budgets with applicable personnel.
Analyze and assess current financial trends. Communicate results to Chief Financial Officer
Develop and update financial models to analyze profitability, airline rates and charges, and cash flow tracking.
Assist Finance personnel with month-end accounting close duties.
Reviews complex financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficient workflow and conformity with accounting principles.
Prepares and delivers comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to executive leadership, committees, and other stakeholders.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
- Five years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or valid Certified Public Accountant certificate with at least three years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor.
Specific License or Certification Required
- Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
