This Senior Management level position is responsible for leading, guiding, and managing the administrative and operational activities of the Facilities Management Operations Division (FM Operations and Parking Garage Operations) consisting of 108 employees and a $23.2 million annual budget. The primary function of this position is to plan, organize, prioritize, and establish goals and objectives for the Division.
HIRING SALARY: $95,804 - $125,465 (Estimated Annual Salary Dependent upon experience)

Duties and Responsibilities

- Advise the Department Head on the status of facility maintenance, repairs, and Improvement projects, and oversee the implementation of FM Operational goals and strategies, providing measuredoutcomes.
- Guide and mentor three Facilities Managers, Parking Operations Managers, and Administrative Services Coordinator in their roles andresponsibilities.
Oversee the daily functions of the FM Integrated Workplace Management System, FM Systems, ensuring all modules are kept up to date and with the most current software versions
- Manage the annual Facilities Management Operating, Improvement Projects and FM Asset Preservation Budget call process and prepare the budget presentation to the Department Head and Deputy County Administrator of GeneralServices.
- Develop policies and procedures designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of all FM Operations.
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with the Design/Construction Team and the Real Estate Manager to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of Departmental as well as interdepartmental operations andactivities.
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, internal/external training, review publications and virtual materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices, and new developments within the FM Operationsindustry.
- Keep the Department Head, Deputy County Administrator, General Services, and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress, including present and potential workproblems.
- Respond to building occupant questions and comments received via email, phone, text, or FM Systems submissions in a courteous and timely manner; and provide briefings to officials for informational and decision-making purposes.
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, or Engineering, and 15 years or more of progressively responsible experience in Facilities Management Operations in Municipal, State or Federal GovernmentBuildings.
- The International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Facility Manager Professional (FMP), or Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) credentials are a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills is amust.
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, andProject.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of facility maintenance, repair and renovations, code requirements, specification development and the design and constructionprocess.
- Knowledge of regulations and local permitting processes, especially those involving Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protectionsystems.
- Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships while managing multiple projectssimultaneously.
- Must be available during all levels of County emergencies and serve on the Logistics Section Chief Team stationed in the Emergency Operations Center during Emergency activations.
- Complete SLED background check and pass the CJIS Security and AwarenessTraining.
- A valid SC driver's license isrequired.
