The Charleston Battery is looking for passionately driven undergraduate or graduate students to join our Merchandise team for the 2025 Season. This individual will be responsible for assisting our Merchandise team in day-to-day merchandising sales and operations. This is an unpaid, seasonal position that can start as early as February and end as late as November.

The Charleston Battery is looking for passionately driven undergraduate or graduate students to join our Merchandise team for the 2025 Season. This individual will be responsible for assisting our Merchandise team in day-to-day merchandising sales and operations. This is an unpaid, seasonal position that can start as early as February and end as late as November.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day merchandising sales and operations tasks including: order fulfillment, handling customer inquiries, as well as handling any returns and exchanges that come through.
- Assist in inventory count at the end of each month to maintain accurate numbers within Shopify
- Become proficient with our eCommerce and point of sale system platform.
- Become well-versed with returns and exchange policies.
- Assist with game day operations including setting up and breaking down proshop, ringing up customers during game, restocking any items that are running low throughout the game.
- Assist with special events around town where the merchandise truck has been requested to appear.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation and the ability to take initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc.)
- Detail oriented + time management skills
- Customer service experience
- Design skills in Adobe Suite or Canva is a preferred
- Willingness and ability to work long hours, including mornings, nights and weekends throughout the duration of the season
- Ability to arrange personal housing and transportation at own expense
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions, including rain and heat
- Ability to interact professionally with Front Office staff, players, and coaches
- Must be available to work 19+ home games and other assigned events as well as normal office hours
- Eligible to receive college credit
