Job Summary

As a Software Product Owner & Scrum Master, this dual-role position is responsible for clarifying product vision, managing product backlog priorities, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of software solutions through effective Agile practices. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team while also facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has strong product management instincts, excellent communication skills, deep experience in Agile/Scrum frameworks, and some understanding of software development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Product Managers to define and clearly communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and high‑quality functional requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to gather feedback and translate it into actionable work items.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track and communicate team performance metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown, etc.).
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact delivery timelines or product quality.
  • Work closely with software developers, testers, UX designers, and leadership.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field—OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or similar role in software development.
  • Proven experience delivering software products using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience translating user needs into actionable requirements and user stories.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile lifecycle management tools.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Git source control, Azure DevOps, Figma and Snyk.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand software workflows and describe front end and and back end functionality
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $79,000 to $92,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, and location.
