Job Summary
BASIC SUMMARY: Responsible for the management of work in process (WIP) production materials, and consumables. Verifies material, preps material for the various production and production support operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Logically organize production work in process
- Logically organize manufacturing consumables.
- Assist in the management and organization of any Kanban system/2 bin system.
- Support production by preparing necessary production raw materials and consumables
- Support quality improvements
- Support always audit ready initiatives
- Support production support departments by delivering samples and other materials
- Assemble or repair production storage equipment
- Maintain or improve safety in production support areas
- Work on handoff processes for essentials duties for multiple shifts
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Highschool / GED
- Experience: 0-12 Months.
- Certification/Licensure: None.
- Other: Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated computer skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.The employee frequently is required to stand while performing duties, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and type at a computer.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly wears protective clothing (goggles, face shield, surgical mask, cap, gloves, scrubs, boots)The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, works with sharp objects, works with or near toxic or caustic chemicals, works with biohazards, works with live animals (small, medium, large) with risk of exposure to allergens, is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, is exposed to unpleasant odors, is exposed to wet, humid and/or extreme temperature conditions, is exposed to vibration.The noise level in the work environment is usually low / moderate.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $19.25 hr.
