Position Description:

The Senior Program Control Analyst position requires an individual to have 5-7 years of applicable experience and a degree in Finance or Accounting. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts (GAAP, IFRS, and revenue recognition). Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with other finance members, sector VPs, and other senior members of CGI Federal leadership.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This Senior Program Control Analyst will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of their assigned programs and/or portfolio. The candidate will support the Controller and Operations by providing financial services, responsible for month-end close, forecast/budget, and reporting and analyzing results.

•Responsible for full life cycle contract support including contract startup, revenue recognition, estimates at completion, monthly forecasting, invoice review, monthly financial status reports, variance analysis, journal entries and invoice preparation, etc.
•Meets corporate requirements by providing monthly Healthcheck, monthly financial status reports, invoice reconciliation, margin and other analysis as needed.
•Supports internal and external audits and ensures policies and procedures are met.
•Performing revenue calculations correctly in accordance w/Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and CGI Policies.
•Calculating revenue and expenses, including accruals, capitalization and amortization schedules for monthly close in a timely manner to allow consolidation, review and submittal of results within CGI’s close due dates.
•Performing detailed reporting and analyses of monthly financial information to include revenue and cost variances and trend analysis as well as proactively monitor large expenditures and swings in margin from month to month.
•Working closely with Project Managers in monthly forecasting and analyze variances to previous forecast and budget.
•Supporting project reviews, opportunity and delivery review meetings as well as ongoing audits with accurate financial data and value added financial analyses.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Federal contracting experience, Finance, Accounting, High Excel proficiency, Deltek CostPoint, IFRS, FAR, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Team and goal oriented, attention to detail, organized and adhere to deadlines.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,300-$161,100.
