Our clients range from small and medium size businesses across multiple industries to law firms, medical practices, education, and public companies. Some clients want to push the envelope with new technologies, and some want to keep costs to a minimum.

We are growing, both organically and through acquisitions. We have completed three acquisitions over the last 18 months and hope to complete several per year going forward. We have a great financial partner in LNC Partners, a private equity firm from northern Virginia who began supporting us two years ago. Fear not- they are not PE overlords! Big Picture: We are looking for great people who are excited about technology and enjoy dealing directly with clients. Position Overview: Cantey Tech Consulting is seeking a dynamic and measurable results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success managing B2B sales, particularly in the technology sector. As VP of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering strong client relationships, and leading a high-performance sales team to achieve their targets. We currently have a great VP of Sales but he'd like to step back a little and focus just on selling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales objectives with overall business goals.

2. Lead and Mentor Sales Team: Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the sales team to maximize their potential and performance. Set clear goals and objectives, monitor progress, and provide ongoing feedback and support. The current sales team of 6 people is spread across our target markets. We expect that to grow as we acquire other MSPs across the Southeast.

3. Drive New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure new clients and partnerships.

4. Manage Client Relationships: Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions to address their objectives.

5. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales metrics, track performance against targets, and provide regular reports including forecasts and updates to executive leadership. Utilize data and analytics to assess sales effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and optimize sales processes.

6. Marketing and Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Marketing will report to you and by "marketing" we really mean lead generation. While "brand marketing" and "building awareness" and other aspects of marketing are important, we want marketing to generate sales. You will also coordinate with, technology, operations, and other departments to align sales efforts with overall business strategies. Provide valuable insights and feedback to inform product roadmap and marketing initiatives. Currently we have one person involved in marketing and a significant digital marketing partner. At one point there may be a separate marketing department with a different reporting structure but we are set for now.

7. Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Leverage industry knowledge to position Cantey Tech Consulting as a thought leader and trusted advisor in the technology sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree- Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.

• Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with at least 10 years of experience in technology sales or consulting.

• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performance sales teams.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth and innovation.

• Proficiency in sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to travel as needed.
