As a First Line Manager, you will be directly responsible for the daily execution and improvement of our assembly processes. You will empower your team, champion lean methodologies, and leverage data to achieve and exceed production targets. Job Description

Shift Leader of Assembly Operations Activities across the CC Value Stream (ESP)

Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet goals and targets.

Perform process confirmation on work standards and correct deviations in the workshop.

Lead training and development of skilled and semiskilled associates in the department.

Monitor and participate in daily management of CC value stream areas using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance.

Develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream with regards to people, information, and material flow.

Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, PQIs, standard work instructions, etc.).

Support the performance and career development of all team members.

Promote a team environment that is focused on customer satisfaction.

Perform additional assignments as directed.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 1-3 years technical/leadership experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Working experience with the following: MES systems (such as Promaster), SAP, or Tableau/PowerBI.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS).
  • Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative.
  • Experience leading in an environment with highly automated equipment technologies. Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead groups, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to standards, policies and procedures.
  • High level of teamwork, initiative, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules.
