Job Description

This Co-Op position works in the Bosch Charleston Measurement and Calibration Laboratory. The student will be guided by the Senior Metrology Engineer and technician team in the laboratory and on the production floor. The student will:

  1. Learn about usage, inspection and calibration of dimensional and electronic measuring and test equipment used in the lab and throughout the manufacturing plant.
  2. Gain experience reading engineering drawings and specifications for gages and parts to be inspected.
  3. Learn how to obtain data and carry out statistical studies (capability, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty, etc.) to evaluate suitability of measuring equipment.
  4. Help to develop and improve instructions for calibration.
  5. Support quality and cost improvement activities related to measuring equipment.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline
  • Must be at sophomore level or higher with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
