Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Quality Engineer to ensure the seamless flow and integrity of our supply chain operations. This role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, analyzing logistical data for areas of improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve identified issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality management systems and a proven ability to optimize logistics processes to minimize errors and maximize efficiency. A background in engineering or a related field, coupled with experience in logistics or supply chain quality, is essential.

Responsibilities Include: (but are not limited to)

Logistics Quality Expectations:

  • Review logistics processes and documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance - meeting or exceeding customer criteria.
  • Understand and be able to lead logistics in the 8D process (root cause investigations, corrective/ preventative actions and verification of effectiveness of countermeasures for quality issue).
  • Lead and manage FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) process for Logistics
  • Assist/Lead Quality Audits (internal and external)
  • Provide support, mentoring, and leadership to warehouse associates
  • Proactively initiate continuous improvement projects to identify and improve product/process capability, reliability, and quality.
  • Create quality statistics reports from quality databases.
  • Actively involved in change management process for logistics group
  • Initiate necessary action to prevent nonconformities, which could include shutting down equipment;
  • Identify and record any nonconformities;
  • Monitor solution implementations to verify effectiveness of changes and take corrective action;
  • Standardize implementations to avoid further nonconformities.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years experience in logistics, manufacturing, quality or other related technical field
  • Previous experience with self -managed teams
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to lead groups and delegate tasks
  • Must be flexible (welcome and adaptable to change), including working hours
  • Follow-up effectively to insure successful implementation
  • Demonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Data consolidation experience (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) preferred
  • MRP system experience; SAP experience preferred.
