The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.

As a Systems Engineer on our team, your skills in systems architecture and software programming will be vital when developing hardware and software solutions to meet your customer’s needs. You will gain experience in operational meteorology and air traffic control systems while supporting the safe conduct of the client's flight operations. You will be a valued member of a small team of highly skilled engineers where your contributions will be critical to the team’s success. You will gain valuable experience designing and fielding meteorological and communications systems in harsh, remote environments. This position requires travel to Antarctica.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience with data communications using TCP/IP, RS-232, and RF technologies
  • Experience in computer programming using Java, Python or C#
  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting radio and computer hardware
  • Experience with installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining server operating systems
  • Ability to travel to Antarctica for up to 4 weeks annually
  • Ability to pass an Antarctic deployment physical exam
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience in the Aviation Command and Control Field
  • Experience with writing web applications using HTML5, .Net, JavaScript, or Node.js
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technology
  • Possession of excellent adventure skills
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
