This position is a working supervisor that typically provides crew supervision in the performance of specialized skilled work, maintenance, and assists with residential services within the boundaries of the Sangaree Special Tax District. Must be able to lead employees and deal courteously and effectively with fellow employees and citizens.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assign daily crew duties, ensuring quality of work and completion.
• Safely operate a variety of vehicles/equipment, including manual transmission vehicles, zero-turn mowers, tractors, backhoe, chipper, mini-excavator, hand tools, and small equipment at all times.
• Assist with all aspects of services provided by Sangaree Special Tax District including solid waste collection, recreation, and maintenance of common areas.
• Assists with the department maintenance/preventative maintenance management program including fleet, facility, and grounds.
• Assist Parks & Playground Supervisor with cleanliness/repairs of parks & playgrounds.
• Assist with the maintenance of neighborhood entrances.
• Assist with a variety of Special Projects as needed (carpentry, painting, staining, repairs, planting & landscaping, and seasonal work)
• Perform tasks in an independent and safe manner.
• Be responsible for PPE and safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct/Participate in safety training.
• Assist Administrative Office with resident requests for service
• Be responsible for timely equipment checks and vehicle fueling.
• Preform Preventative maintenance and minor repairs on mowers, walk behind and handheld equipment.
• Assist with residential curbside services as needed.
• May be responsible for P-Card purchases.
• Review crew paperwork for accuracy and completion.
• Assist with Spray Program (herbicides, Insecticides, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Two (2) years of experience;
• Or equivalent education, and/or experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with safe driving record;

• Departmental testing may be administered during interview;
• A criminal background check will be completed on selected applicant if a current one (less than 3 years old) is not on file.

• Knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Skill in mathematics.
• Ability to interpret plats, topographic survey data, engineering and architectural plans preferred.
• Ability to accept payments and manage inventory and property.
• Ability to make budget recommendations.
• Ability to use or repair small and medium equipment and machinery.
• Ability to create plans for and guide implementation of plans.

This position requires the employee to reach, pull and push with hands and arms; stand; use hands to handle, feel, grasp or operate objects, tools or controls; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use mental acuity and repetitive motion; and walk, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ninety-five (95) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The work is regularly performed outdoors, in a variety of conditions, in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands. Thirty-seven and one half (37.5) hours per week. Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the ability to work after hours when necessary. May be required to work extra hours and to perform extra or different duties during emergency situations.
