Data Analyst Intern Overview

The primary focus of this internship will be to assist in the creation and customization of data visualizations using Sigma. The intern will report to and work with our Analytics Team Lead. They will also have the opportunity to observe and participate in interactions with members of the sales and operations teams. Duties include performing data discovery, data cleansing, dynamic dashboard creation, and evaluating key performance metrics/indicators for customers. The ideal candidate for this internship is detailed oriented, has a natural curiosity inclined toward business and intermediate technical abilities.

*Work schedule between 15-20 hours per week*

*Please note that interns must be local and will work in the Charleston office*

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Clean data sets
  • Build out current dashboard library
  • Create new dashboards for specific requests
  • Meet periodic production goals set forth by the Team Lead and COO

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Earning a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Experience with Data Visualization software such as Sigma, Tableau, Power BI and Google Data Studio, as well as data cleansing
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to pivot & multi-task
  • Analytical skills, strong work ethic, independence, problem solving ability, effective communication skills, and overall positive attitude
