How you’ll get to help us do that:

Support the Traffic Control Division during night-time work on critical infrastructure projects. Protect workers in construction zones, prevent traffic accidents, and minimize travel disruptions.

What you’ll get to do:

• Get paid to be fully trained and become Flagger certified
• Assist in directing and regulating vehicular traffic in construction zones
• Manage stop-and-go traffic by using signs and signals to direct vehicles
• Facilitate lane closures and direct vehicles to alternate routes or lanes as appropriate
• Monitor and react to real-time traffic flow
• Identify incidents
• Prioritize the safety of workers and drivers by following all safety policies and procedures

Overnight schedule:

• Specific shifts will vary, but you’ll be working between the hours of 5pm and 6am
• You might work 8 hours one night and 13 the next, and can expect to average 50-55 hours per week with overtime pay
• Overtime is not guaranteed, but we can guarantee 40 hours
• Shifts are Sunday night through Thursday night, always starting at 5pm
• Occasional Saturdays may be required, but they are rare and more common for the day shift

• Because we also value the responsibility of ensuring public safety, we'll conduct a motor vehicle check to ensure you have:
  • A current actively valid driver's license
  • No at-fault accidents within the last 3 years
• You're at least 21 years old
• You can lift 40 lbs
