What is the role of the Plant Facilities?

The Plant Facilities are here to provide our crews and customers with all of the quality materials they need to get their jobs completed at a low cost. We have two facilities - North Charleston and Summerville. Each facility consists of an asphalt plant, rail unloading facility, and rap crusher.

What is a Plant Facilities Engineer?

The Plant Facilities Engineer focuses on facility systems, facility maintenance, conducts inspections, leads continuous improvement projects, and implements efficiency and safety initiatives to enhance safety, operational reliability and productivity at the plant.

Requirements

What you'll get to do:

  • Conducts regular maintenance inspections and oversees repair activities to ensure plant equipment operates at peak efficiency and reliability.
  • Leads and coordinates preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and tasks to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
  • In charge of all plant system implementation, training, and management.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements through data analysis and operational assessments.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.
  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment/plant reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to plant personnel on maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and plant/equipment operation.
  • Assists in the procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies to support ongoing operations and minimize inventory downtime.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Participates in plant safety programs, conducts safety inspections, and promotes a culture of safety among all employees.

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office
  • You have the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals.
  • You have experience leading people and have a passion for building great teams.

Salary Description
$65,000-$75,000 annual salary
