Our Field Safety Coordinators are more than just a "safety guy", they are integrated partners with all our team members working hard to continually evolve our cutting edge safety programs.

The Field Safety Coordinator spends 90% of their time in the field partnering and working alongside our crews and subcontractors proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns

The impact you will have:

  • You will influence commitment to our Behavior Based Safety Strategy through employee empowerment and engagement, focusing on behaviors, identifying and addressing operational struggles.
  • You will proactively recognize hazards and implement and execute direct controls and safe guards.
  • You will partner across divisions with other team members to learn how the work is performed, develop solutions to operational struggles, and mentor teammates in the area of safety.
  • You will identify, evaluate and implement the latest cutting edge technology solutions to enhance safety, increase efficiency and streamline production.

Requirements

The best candidate for this position will have an excellent work ethic, always going above and beyond, a strong attitude of service, and excellent aptitude for assessing risk from a lens of operational need.

Highly desirable skills:

  • OSHA and safety training experience
  • Solid understanding of how heavy highway grading, paving and bridge work is performed
  • Education, training, knowledge and experience to quickly establish credibility with field leadership and teammates
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt your approach to varied situations to incrementally change culture
  • Investigation and learning background
Salary Description
