Field Technician Supervisor (Fuels)
BAE Systems
The selected candidate supervises a team of 10-12 technicians servicing Department of Defense fuel facilities in the USA, and OCONUS. Leads by example and demonstrates proficiency in problem resolution for systems being maintained by the technicians. Supervises Field Technicians to ensure they are self-motivated, have the technical skills, people skills, and communication skills, along with continuous training and safety awareness to provide timely completion of corrective and preventative maintenance trouble tickets. Ensure field techs maintain manufacturer’s equipment certifications required by the contract. UST (underground storage tank) certifications may also be required in particular states.
Other Responsibilities:
Review and approve expense reporting of direct reports in Concur
Efficacy of travel for direct reports
Time sheet review for compliance with corporate time keeping policy
Responsible for new technician onboarding and training
Other Duties:
Responsible for overall performance of the team, to include product delivery schedules, performance measurement, and technical solutions
Interfaces with and maintains positive working relationships with customer counterparts in the delivery of services and products
Identifies and documents risks applicable to the team
Anticipate future training needs and certifications as well as anticipated future workforce growth
Supports the Project Manager in meeting contract timelines
Supports field technicians through technical mentoring, leading by example and making technical decisions on behalf of technicians
Executes a consistent program for recognition and award, improving employee morale and job satisfaction
Ensure personnel are properly qualified, trained and supervised to perform duties effectively, including the development of Individual Development Plans for all employees within the team
Implement corrective actions, as necessary
Executes all assigned responsibilities in conformance with federal, state and local governmental regulations, consistent with company standards of ethics, quality and safety
Associate degree in electronics or related field (May substitute formal electronics training from Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program for degree)
At least seven (7) years related experience in governement contracting or program experience
Six years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Integration, Fielding and Checkout
At least three years’ experience performing removal, installation, maintenance, testing, and calibration of automation instrumentation and sensors such as Automated Tank Gauging (ATG), Independent Alarm Systems (IAS) or Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE).
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following ATG Systems: Veeder Root TLS (TLS-350/450), Ronan (X76CTM), ENRAF 854/954 Servo, MTS Level Plus and Tank Slayer, Pneumercator.
Expertise in corrective maintenance on the following communications devices of the ATG systems: RTU 8130/8810 and WAGO; Programmable Logic Computers (PLC), Phone switches; Radio Modems, External Modems
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
