Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for an experienced Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to join our Contracts/Security Team onsite in North Charleston, SC.

As an AFSO on our team, you’ll be responsible for managing, designing, and supporting our network and application security platforms and will work with our teams and vendors to oversee the day-to-day operations of our information security infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining measures to uphold the security of the organization’s systems and be responsible for defining and implementing security controls, tools, standards, procedures, guidelines, and meeting security compliance requirements in our environment. You’ll drive strategic solutions and new ideas as well as investigate, respond to, and mitigate risks and threats. You Will:

  • Be responsible for implementing all facets of security to ensure compliance with NISPOM and customer security requirements
  • Prepare visit requests for access to job site based on appropriate clearance and need to know
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate security clearances for all contractor site employees, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Provide all security-related briefings and training required by NISPOM and the customer
  • Provide classification guidance applicable to contract performance
  • Develop and implement security measures to meet compliance requirements and protect systems from threats and attacks
  • Assist with preparing DD254s and provide security oversight and support to business development and proposal development
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures
  • Interface directly with program management to address security items specific to each program/contract and present our security program as a value-added component of organizations’ business model
  • Maintain employee security files
  • Accomplish an annual security audit and review as well as bi-annual self-inspections of the facility

You Have:

  • An Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
  • 2 years of professional experience as an AFSO or a related field
  • Experience in creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate
  • A thorough understanding of security databases DISS/NBIS/SWAT/NCAISS
  • A commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customers
  • Prior experience of the NISP and DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments
  • A high level of understanding of the NISPOM
  • Familiarity with CUI requirements

We’d Be Impressed If You Had:

  • An Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification
  • Extensive knowledge of NISPOM, e-QIP, and related security systems
  • Proven ability to manage security programs and ensure compliance with DoD and DOE requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an FSO or CSSO role, including work with classified programs and government contracts
