Position Overview

The Staff Accountant at Altriarch will be a key contributor to the Finance & Accounting team, taking ownership of core accounting operations while playing an active role in corporate accounting, fund accounting, financial reporting and operations support. This full-time role requires a self-starter with strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

  • Oversee and manage daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations; ensure accuracy of the general ledger and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Own the accounts payable and accounts receivable process, payment cycle management, customer billing, daily cash reconciliation, and collections monitoring.
  • Support financial reporting activities including weekly reporting, variance analysis, and preparation of management reporting packages for senior leadership.
  • Bolster the broader Finance & Accounting team’s organization and communication efforts.

Month-End Close & Audit Support:

  • Lead and execute journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end closes.
  • Assist in reviewing fund administrator reports while running internal books and records.
  • Assist with external audits and support corporate finance initiatives including debt facility compliance, lender reporting, and investor reporting requirements.

Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Support fund accounting and operations, including NAV calculations, capital call and distribution processing, investor allocations, loan tape and other reconciliations.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and drive improvements in accounting processes, workflows, and systems with a focus on automation and process efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated exposure to corporate finance, fund accounting and/or FP&A preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Investran, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Private Credit, Private Equity, Asset Management, Factoring or broader Financial Services.
  • Involvement in software implementation, particularly accounting or financial systems.
